Horse mackerel benefit and harm

Horse mackerel is the common name for several species of commercial fish that belong to the family of the same name – the horse mackerel, in particular, fish with names such as Trachurus, Carax, Selaroides. In total, the family includes about 144 species of fish.

The geography of the horse mackerel is quite diverse: this fish is found in the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian oceans, in the Mediterranean Sea, as well as off the coast of Japan. We produce it in the North Sea, as well as in the waters of the Baltic.

It is appreciated for its high content of phosphorus, magnesium, iron, chromium, as well as an easily digestible protein containing many amino acids, including essential ones.
