Amaranth oil benefits and harms

Amaranth oil is a fatty oil obtained by processing the seeds of the plant of the same name – amaranth (Latin Amaranthus) from the amaranth family. The best and highest quality oil is obtained by pressing oil from amaranth seeds using the cold method.

Composition

The beneficial properties of amaranth oil are due to its unique composition. It is a rich source of many valuable substances and rare natural compounds. It contains fats rich in Omega-3 and Omega-6 acids, which are so necessary for the human body, saturated fatty acids, B vitamins, choline, vitamin P, phospholipids, chlorophylls, carotenoids.

Amaranth oil contains many components that are useful for the body and are rare in nature.

Vegetable protein contains valuable amino acids, such as alanine, methionine, arginine, threonine, tryptophan, proline and histamine. Of the mineral elements, amaranth oil contains iron, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, sodium, zinc and copper.

The use of amaranth oil

Of particular note are the two most beneficial components – vitamin E in tocotrienol (the most active) form and squalene. The content of vitamin E in amaranth oil exceeds that of other types of vegetable oils. Vitamin E, which is a powerful natural antioxidant, is an essential element for human health.

Amaranth contains a unique element - squalene

It strengthens the immune system, reduces the risk of respiratory and infectious diseases, reduces foci of inflammation in the body, has a beneficial effect on the condition of bones, joints and connective tissue, and promotes wound healing.

Squalene is a rare element in nature. It was first obtained from shark liver, and for a long time it was believed that its plant analogues did not exist in nature. But over time, a significant content of squalene was found in the composition of amaranth and oil from it.

It is a very powerful antioxidant that has an effect on the immune system. It is especially beneficial for tissues, skin and hair, preventing premature aging.

Application

Regular consumption of amaranth oil helps to lower blood cholesterol levels, reduces the risk of cholesterol plaques, maintains the cleanliness of blood vessels, and strengthens the immune system.

The beneficial effect on the condition of the skin is the reason for the active use of amaranth oil in cosmetology. It can be consumed both in pure form and in the form of various food additives, for example, in gelatin capsules.

One of the dosage forms for oral administration is gelatin capsules

Amaranth oil is extremely useful when applied externally – it has an excellent effect on the skin, has bactericidal functions, and promotes skin regeneration. Many cosmetics manufacturers use it in the manufacture of beauty and health products – creams, masks, balms for skin and hair.
