Loaf benefit and harm

Of course, every Slavic loaf of bread in the old days was a real work of art. It was not a shame to present it to a dear guest or put it on a rich festive table. It is not surprising that sometimes there were more decorations on such a product than there was bread itself.

Today, round loaf bread continues to be used as a festive one, but its significance here, of course, is already much less. Rather, it has turned into a tribute to tradition, rather than into any significant symbol. However, its real taste is unique, rich and loved by many. But at the same time, due to its composition and properties, such a type of bread becomes stale very quickly, and, given the large number of ingredients and the high cost of production, it is rarely produced by large factories, remaining a truly homemade product or the prerogative of small private bakeries working on order.

The composition of the loaf

The main advantage of the loaf is its luxurious taste. It is achieved due to the use in the preparation of its products, which are rarely used for baking ordinary bakery products. How is a loaf prepared? The indispensable ingredients that make up the loaf are eggs, a large amount of sugar, milk and vegetable or butter. There should be at least 8-10 eggs. Often, cinnamon, corn oil, vanilla and various spices are added to the loaf recipe to enrich the taste.

How is a loaf decoration made? Various decorations, thanks to which it attracts the most attention, are made from the same dough as the delicious loaf of bread itself, and are glued to its surface due to the fact that the dough of the main part is moistened with water.

Of course, such a composition of the loaf does not allow us to call it a dietary dish. Not only is round bread made from premium flour, which is very dangerous for the figure, but also the abundance of fatty and protein-rich foods in no way contributes to an increase in its dieteticity.

But on the other hand, a fragrant loaf of white or rye bread is a dish that is just as rare on our table, so beautiful. Therefore, with a healthy lifestyle and a well-balanced diet, worrying about having round bread at someone’s wedding twice a year is not worth worrying about. Yes, and sometimes you can indulge yourself with such a delicious dish just like that – after all, good mood is no less a friend of health than proper nutrition.
