Sausages benefit and harm

Sausages benefit and harm

The composition of sausages strongly depends on the composition of their components and recipes. As a rule, it contains protein, fats, carbohydrates, water, chemical elements – phosphates, nitrites, nitrates, acids, and so on.

Benefit and harm

You can talk for a long time about the benefits or dangers of sausages. One thing is certain – preference should be given only to those varieties that comply with GOST standards. The composition of sausages according to GOST must contain natural meat in an amount of at least fifty percent.

In other products, which are made in accordance with other technical conditions, the content of natural meat is minimal, but there are much more elements and fats that are harmful to health.

In any case, sausages in general and wieners in particular should not be overused, since this product is quite high in calories. The calorie content of sausages is from 270 to 350 calories per 100 grams of product (depending on the variety and type).

In addition, harm to the body is manifested in the fact that the relatively high content of sodium and fat can have a negative effect on the cardiovascular system. Therefore, sausages can be a modest addition, but not the basis of a daily diet.
