Pantsirevsky breed of chickens

One of the most spectacular and beautiful breeds of chickens that really become a decoration of the yard is the armored black and white. These birds of different colors, but similar in appearance and character, perfectly complement each other and create a picturesque spectacle.

These feathered pets are a good source of eggs and meat. The meat of the armored chickens is rich, tender. The average egg production of a laying hen in the first year of productivity is about 220 eggs, in the second year it reaches 270 eggs. Adults usually gain up to two and a half kilograms of live weight, in some cases their weight can reach almost three kilograms. Roosters, as a rule, weigh about three kilograms, but with proper, high-quality feeding, they gain up to four kilograms. The safety of young birds is about 97%, adults – 93%.

The Pantsirevsky breed of chickens was bred in Russia in the Ulyanovsk region in the period from 1947 to 1961. It was obtained by crossing numerous productive breeds: black Australorp, New Hampshire, Leghorn, Plymouth Rock, Rhode Island and others.

The breed of chickens Pantsirevskaya is not too demanding on the conditions of detention and is quite hardy. She is distinguished by a calm character, not aggressive, does not conflict with her neighbors in the poultry house. The bird quickly acclimatizes, gets used to new weather conditions. It can be bred in various climatic zones.

The armored breed of chickens loves space and walking. However, despite this, feathered pets almost never go far from the yard, they try to stay close to the house. They do not need to erect high fences.

This is a very neat breed with a proportional physique, medium weight. She has a rather bushy tail. The main feature in external data is the coloring of the beak. The armored black breed of chickens has a dark beak color, while the white armored chickens have a light beak. On the round head of the bird is a small, erect crest. The wings are well developed.

Roosters are distinguished by a beautiful comb and the same spectacular, magnificent tail.
