9 most productive hybrids of cucumbers

Among the many existing varieties and hybrids of cucumbers, each of us chooses the most suitable for ourselves, guided by a certain set of requirements. Some want to get cucumbers as early as possible, so they sow early varieties of cucumbers. The second is more important than the taste of the fruit, the third – the longest possible period of their fruiting. But, perhaps, productivity is considered common to all and one of the main requirements. That’s just the most fruitful cucumber hybrids we will discuss today.

Harvest varieties of cucumbers are always popular

About some varieties and hybrids of cucumbers, which can be safely ranked among the most fruitful, we have already talked about in the article 25 of the earliest varieties of cucumbers:

  • ‘Altai early 166’;
  • ‘Muromsky 36’;
  • ‘Zozulya’;
  • ‘May F1’;
  • ‘Spring F1’;
  • ‘April F1’;
  • ‘Moscow dude F1’;
  • ‘Advance F1’.

It makes no sense to describe the advantages of each of them again, so today let’s remember a few more hybrids with which you definitely will not be left without a harvest.

1. ‘Pinocchio F1’

An early maturing (44-46 days pass from the emergence of seedlings to the beginning of fruiting) parthenocarpic hybrid with a predominantly female type of flowering. Designed for cultivation under temporary film shelters and in open ground. Cold-resistant, high-yielding, with a bouquet arrangement of ovaries, which contain up to 6 pieces in the nodes. The fruit is genetically devoid of bitterness, large-tuberous, dark green, elongated-cylindrical greens, reaching 8-9 cm in length with a weight of up to 100 g. About 1-11 kg of fruits are obtained from 13 mΒ².

2. ‘White Night F1’

An early ripe parthenocarpic hybrid intended for cultivation in open ground and film greenhouses. It enters the fruiting phase at 42-44 days after germination. The plant is medium-branched, with a predominantly female type of flowering. The fruits are cylindrical, short, not prone to yellowing, dark green, white-spiky, medium tuberculate, reach 8–9 cm in length.

3. ‘Noble F1’

A bee-pollinated mid-early hybrid that begins to bear fruit 46-48 days after germination. Designed for cultivation in film greenhouses and open ground. Plants are medium-sized, medium-branched, with a predominantly female type of flowering. The fruits are short, light green, white-thorned, small-tubercular greens of a cylindrical shape, reaching 10-13 cm in length, weighing 100-110 g. Productivity is about 12-14 kg per 1 mΒ² Resistant to a complex of diseases: bacteriosis, olive blotch, viral infections, anthracnose and ascochitosis.

Early maturing bee-pollinated hybrid ‘Krepysh F1’ yields approximately 43-45 days after germination. It is intended for cultivation in an open ground. Cucumbers are short, tuberculate, white-pubescent, oval in shape, reach a weight of 70-100 g. About 1 kg of fruits are harvested from 12 mΒ². Resistant to downy and true powdery mildew and cladosporiosis.

6. ‘Dasha F1’

The bee-pollinated hybrid is intended for cultivation in an open ground and under temporary film shelters. It begins to bear fruit on the 36-46th day after emergence. Greens are short, dark green, elongated-cylindrical, large-tuberous, with white pubescence. The mass of fruits is about 85-115 g, they reach 10 cm in length. Parthenocarpic early ripe hybrid for open ground and temporary film shelters. Fruiting begins 43-45 days after emergence. The plant is medium-branched, medium-sized, with a predominantly female type of flowering. The fruits are green, cylindrical in shape, the weight reaches 70-90 g, and from 1 mΒ² they get 13-14 kg of greens.

8. ‘Vivat F1’

Designed for cultivation in open ground and temporary film greenhouses. Mid-early parthenocarpic hybrid, from the emergence of seedlings to the beginning of fruiting, which takes 46-55 days. Plants can be medium and vigorous, medium-branched, with a predominantly female type of flowering. The fruits are slightly ribbed, small tuberculate, cylindrical. They reach a length of 9-10 cm, and from 1 mΒ² you can get about 11 kg of greens.

9. ‘Cellar F1’

Early maturing hybrid (from germination to fruiting 43-48 days), bee-pollinated, with a predominantly female type of flowering. It is intended for cultivation under film shelters. Large-tuberculate, brown-thorn greenery of a cylindrical shape, slightly narrowed at the base, rich green in color, with white stripes, reaches a length of 9-11 cm, and its weight reaches 90-100 g. The hybrid is resistant to major cucumber diseases, and with 1 mΒ² you can get 15-17 kg of fruit.Β

Of course, I have not listed all the fruitful varieties of cucumbers, so I recommend reading another article on this topic – What is the secret of cucumber productivity – and I ask you to supplement me in the comments. Tell us, what varieties and hybrids of cucumbers did you grow on your site, and which of them turned out to be the most productive?
