Peach benefits and harms

Peach, peach tree (Latin Prunus persica, which means “Persian plum”) is a plant from the Pink family, subgenus Almond. The tree is very similar in appearance to almonds in everything, except for the fruits.

Presumably, peach trees came to us from China, but this is not known for certain. They grew wild in northwestern India, then began to cultivate, penetrated into Persia, and then were already brought to Italy – this is how peaches got to Europe.

The peach grows in southern Europe and in temperate regions of Asia. It is widely cultivated in North America, where it is bred mainly for the preparation of liqueurs and juice. Peach trees are valuable for their nutritious and tasty fruits – peaches, which are very rich in vitamins and nutrients.
