Directly mango fruits ripen within 4 months. The shape and color depend on the variety. They can be elongated, round, weighing up to 2 kilograms, and ranging in size from 6 to 30 cm. The dense, non-rough peel of the fruit is easily separated from the pulp. The pulp with a pronounced pleasant aroma resembles a peach. Blotches in the form of thin fibers are possible. In the center of the fruit there is a rather large seed covered with a dense skin.

If the fruit is soft and smells good, it means that it is ripe, unripe mangoes, in turn, ripen very well in a dry and warm place. This property is used in India, because mango is a favorite dish of fruit bats – huge bats. And that’s why mangoes rarely ripen on the tree. Poisonous juice is released from the cut leg, so it is necessary to thoroughly rinse the fruits before eating.

How to properly grow a mango from a stone at home

First you need to correctly extract the seed, for this we cut the fruit lengthwise, and then turn the halves in different directions, separating it from the pulp.
We wash the seed under water to remove the remnants of the fruit, and then put it in a small pot (about 9 centimeters in diameter). The soil should be a mixture of humus and sod land. There is no need to postpone planting, as the seed quickly loses its germination.

At room temperature of 23 degrees, the sprout will appear 2-4 weeks after planting. Mangoes need to be transplanted into a larger pot each year until they are five years old. After that, you can change the capacity every three years.
