Pepper is a popular crop among domestic gardeners. However, unfortunately, most gardeners have to make a choice in favor of certain plants when it comes to organizing their planting. It is worth considering in more detail what can and cannot be planted with pepper in a polycarbonate greenhouse.
Cucumber Compatibility
Cucumbers are neutral neighbors of Bulgarian or other peppers. As the culture grows, it will not bring any harm and will not become a carrier of dangerous diseases. In addition, cucumbers do not compete with peppers for the extraction of nutrients for active growth.
The only disadvantage of planting peppers next to cucumbers is high humidity, it is required by the second, but the first cannot tolerate it. Therefore, it is quite difficult to create optimal conditions that satisfy both cultures at once.
The best solution is to plant peppers at a remote distance from cucumbers, if possible.
When planting plants nearby, it is worth taking care of timely watering and fertilizing. Regularly peppers and cucumbers will need to be treated with fungicides to prevent the development of diseases.
Neighborhood with a tomato
Tomatoes, like peppers, are nightshade, so both cultures are close relatives. Gardeners note the possibility of planting plants next to each other. The downside of this decision is a high risk of developing the same diseases or attracting the same type of insects.

both cultures have the same ripening period;

If there is enough space in the greenhouse for several plantings, eggplants can be safely planted near the peppers. To achieve a high quality crop, it is recommended to regularly ventilate the room. If this is not provided for, the eggplant will quickly start to hurt, and then it will go to the pepper.
It is recommended to plant eggplants in a square-nested seedling variant. Initially – when grown in a greenhouse – the cucumber will develop the tops of the net upwards, which will block access to the sun’s rays.
What else can be planted?
Pepper is a demanding plant for cultivation and care, which is not friendly with owners with a bad memory. Therefore, it is important not only to choose the right place for planting, but also to surround the plant with pleasant neighbors. Basic rules for choosing other cultures.
Seedlings should grow in the same microclimate. This means that pepper’s neighbors should have similar requirements for light, humidity, temperature and other factors. If one plant needs a lot of sun, and another needs abundant watering, it will not work to grow them side by side.
Plants do not have to compete for nutrients. It is recommended to plant nearby those crops that need different fertilizers, vitamins and trace elements for growth and fruiting.
