How to get a lot of zucchini from one bush? Shaping with a secret

Do you want to get a large crop of zucchini from just one bush? It’s pretty easy. There are several secrets that will help increase the number of fruits harvested several times. Caring for this culture is not at all difficult, even a novice gardener can handle it.

What needs to be removed?

An important rule for the formation of zucchini bushes is that the procedure should be carried out in dry, clear weather. This is necessary so that the sections have time to dry and pathogenic microorganisms do not get into them. It is also important to disinfect the sections with either ash or crushed activated charcoal.

What should be removed? To begin with, remove all the leaves that touch the soil, lie on it. This minimizes the likelihood of infection and insects.

In addition to the leaves, it is desirable to get rid of the male barren flowers. It is easy to distinguish them from female ones: in female flowers there is a thickening at the site of the future fetus, in male flowers it is absent. Almost all male flowers should be removed, they only take away the nutrition from the bush, which is necessary for fruit set. However, throughout the season, in no case do not remove absolutely all empty flowers, because they are needed to pollinate female flowers. And if you cultivate self-pollinating hybrids, then male inflorescences are not needed, you can get rid of them completely.

There is also the practice of cutting off the largest leaves, but not completely, the stem must be left. This is done in order to prevent rotting of the ovaries and shading, and for better breathability.

Also, the first fruits should be removed before they have reached 10 cm in length. You need to get rid of 2-3 pieces. Harvest the bush regularly. If the fruits begin to overgrow, this can deplete the bush.

Care for courgettes

The formation of bushes is not the only rule that should be followed when growing zucchini.

This is a moisture-loving culture. For irrigation take warm, settled water. The procedure is carried out in the evening. Up to 4 liters of water are poured under one bush. But in general, the amount of watering depends on the weather; in rainy weather, watering is minimized.

Do not forget about regular top dressing. Zucchini responds well to fertilizers with green infusions prepared from weeds without seeds. With this composition, you can feed the culture once a week. However, keep in mind that green fertilizer is very concentrated, so it must be diluted with water in a ratio of 1:10. It is good to feed zucchini with ashes. To do this, it is diluted in water at the rate of 1 glass per 10 liters of water. With this composition, the bushes are watered under the root. Means can be alternated: green fertilizer and diluted ash.

Growing zucchini

A good result when growing zucchini gives mulching. Mowed grass is suitable for this. To begin with, a thin layer will do, and after drying, the grass is added. Mulching helps retain moisture in the soil for a long time. In addition, over time, raw materials turn into organic top dressing, which is very fond of zucchini.
