Spaghetti benefits and harms

“Rope” is very high in calories. No wonder they are recommended to be used by workers of heavy physical labor, athletes and those who are forced to work in the fresh air in different weather conditions. However, it is important to remember that for the same athletes, adding fat, butter or margarine to a dish greatly reduces its dietary properties.

Like any other flour products, they cause a feeling of satiety and fullness of the stomach. For this they are loved by those who find it difficult to fight hunger: one portion is enough to feel comfortable for several hours.

Vegetables and minced meat are often added to spaghetti.

The calorie content of boiled spaghetti is 190 kcal, in dry form – 340 kcal per 100 grams. And this is what makes them a taboo for those who want to lose weight. For them, what is spaghetti or bread is the same weight gain on the belt. There are very few vitamins in spaghetti, as well as minerals. There is no need to talk about any beneficial effect of such tiny amounts on the human body.

Despite this, the variety of sauces, cheeses and seasonings with which these products are prepared allows you to neutralize the scarcity of the vitamin composition and make them an amazingly tasty dish.

Popular dishes

It is believed that absolutely everything can be used in dishes with spaghetti, from vegetables to meat, from fish to pastries. However, it is meat and fish supplements that are considered the most popular.

For example, in Italy itself, in those regions that are cut off from the sea, spaghetti is most often served with bacon (carbonara), beef, pork, minced meat (bolognese), mushrooms and vegetables. In coastal areas, on the contrary, seafood is the main filling. But regardless of the region, tomatoes and products from them are always considered universal additives – pasta, ketchup, sauces and fruit drinks.

It is in the preparation of spaghetti fillings that eminent Italian chefs compete with each other, creating real masterpieces of taste and image. And such complex dishes, with added vegetables or meat and fish products, are really healthy.
