The main valuable component of oregano is essential oil, which has undeniable medicinal properties. Essential oil of oregano soothes toothaches, helps to cure stomatitis and gingivitis, and even promotes the resorption of flux. Oregano oil is used as a topical antibiotic for inflammation of the mucous membranes of the larynx and mouth. And in the cosmetics industry, oregano oil is used to flavor creams, gels, lotions, toothpastes, and mouthwashes. Oregano oil is the thunderstorm of all parasites. It has been used since time immemorial for various invasions and intestinal infections. In addition to essential oil, oregano contains a large amount of rosemary acid and tannins.

Oregano is the main spice of Mexican and Italian cuisine. It is impossible to imagine a real Italian pizza without it. And the ancient Romans believed that there was no better seasoning for a young pig. By the way, oregano is one of the components of the famous hot chili sauce.

In cooking, the dried leaves and buds of the plant are used. In the Caucasus, oregano is added to brine when pickling mushrooms and vegetables. And in Belarus, the oregano herb, or oregano, is considered an excellent honey plant, because its productivity is 100 kg of honey per hectare. In the Mediterranean, olive oil is infused everywhere on the buds of oregano to give it a spicy, exquisite taste.
