Plant Shefflera (lat. Shefflera), or Sheffler, or umbrella tree, belongs to the largest genus of plants in the Aralievye family, numbering about 200 species. The name of the chefler’s flower was given either in honor of the German botanist Jacob Christian Scheffler, who lived in the XNUMXth century, or in honor of the Polish scientist Peter Ernest Jan Scheffler. In nature, representatives of this genus are lianas, shrubs or trees, reaching a height of two and a half meters and growing in the tropics of Australia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands. Rosehip: planting and care in the open field, properties

Author: Marina Chaika February 13, 2020 Fruit and berry plants

Rosehip (lat.Rosea) – a genus of plants of the Pink family, which has many cultural forms called Rose. According to various sources, there are from 400 to 500 species of rose hips and up to 50000 of its cultivars and hybrids. Herodotus, Theophrastus and Pliny wrote about the species diversity of the plant. In the Renaissance, the classification of rose hips was reduced to the division into wild and cultivated species according to the number of petals in flowers, however, Karl Linnaeus drew attention to the difficulties of classification due to hybridization of roses. Today, no one can say for sure how many species of rose hips exist in nature. Rose hips are widespread in the subtropical and temperate zones of the Northern Hemisphere, but sometimes its representatives are found in areas with a tropical climate. Rose hips grows singly or in groups in coniferous undergrowth and on the edges of deciduous and mixed forests, in woodlands, along springs and rivers, on wet meadows, clay and rocky shores, on plains and at an altitude of up to 2200 m above sea level.

Scheflera are small shrubs or small trees with a leaf shape that is typical of rosette plants. Shefflera leaf resembles a palm with fingers apart. The leaf is divided into parts – from 4 to 12. Sometimes this plant is called an umbrella tree, because the leaf shares of the cheflera grow from one point, which resembles an open umbrella.

It blooms quite rarely in the chef’s room, but if this happens, the flowers will look like tentacles. But mostly the plant is grown because of the leaves. It will look great in large, lighted rooms. To heighten the effect, liquid wax is applied to the leaves.
