However, the demand for horse meat in this region is small, but in the Urals, horse breeding of a sports and tourist direction is rapidly developing.

The main advantage of the Arabs is endurance. They are capable of running long distances, leaving behind even English horses. Arabian horses have a unique skeletal structure that distinguishes them from other breeds.

  • long neck with a beautiful swan bend;
  • the head is compact, dry with a concave profile that resembles a pike;
  • nostrils wide;
  • the limbs are thin and long;
  • the body is muscular, lean, the stomach is taut;
  • the tail is set high, and while galloping, it takes a vertical position;
  • the main suits are black, bay, gray.

Akhalteke

The breed is very ancient, according to experts, it was bred 5000 years ago on the territory of modern Turkmenistan. Horses are distinguished by their spectacular appearance, but this is not their only advantage. Akhal-Teke horses are adapted to difficult climatic conditions, they easily tolerate air temperatures close to 50 degrees.

This breed comes from the Southern Urals. In Bashkiria, it is used as a pack animal. Bashkir horses are hardy and undemanding – they graze in the pasture all year round, easily endure heat and cold. Animals are able to get food from under the snow in winter, raking it with their hooves.

This breed was bred in Russia on the basis of stallions from Europe – Suffolks and Brabancons, it is also bred in the Urals. From their ancestors, horses inherited high growth and strong physique. Today, the Soviet heavy truck is the largest and strongest breed in the entire European part of Russia.

Animals are used for agricultural work and transportation of goods. The horse is able to carry a weight of several tons. The character of the Soviet heavy truck is good-natured, flexible.

Oryol trotters are distinguished by a calm character, they are smart and amenable to training. Animals are used in races, in harness, in tourism and for agricultural work.

The breeds of horses bred in the Urals today are still mostly used for hard work. Commercial horse breeding is not developed in this region, but local residents have begun to show interest in horse racing and equestrian tourism.
