You should not rush and get rid of weeds, because some of them can help arrange a garden plot. With their help, you can create a living fence for a flower bed, emphasize a path or decorate the tree trunk circle.
Veronica filamentous
It is a creeping plant with pale blue flowers. Veronica grows very quickly, it is difficult to keep it within certain boundaries and away from flower beds, but its rapid growth can be used for landscaping the territory.
If planted under apple and pear trees, it will spread out on a soft carpet and help maintain the integrity of the falling fruits.
In addition, Veronica can be used instead of a lawn: it lends itself well to a lawn mower, does not dry out and displaces more aggressive weeds.
Spleen
One of the early flowering creeping plants. Already in April, it blooms with myriads of small yellow flowers.
In the garden, it will look harmoniously with stones and sculptures, as well as be combined with flowers and shrubs of the purple range, for example, with barberry. The spleen can fill empty shady areas near the garage, gazebo or along the fence, decorating a laconic landscape.
Buttercup anemone
Buttercup anemone, or anemone, is a short herb with yellow flowers. Like the spleen, the anemone is suitable for decorating shaded areas. Using anemones as a shrub undergrowth is also a great decorating idea.
Because buttercup anemone blooms early, it should be planted next to spring flowers such as hyacinths and primroses.
At the same time, it is important to periodically break through the flower garden, because such a neighborhood can be detrimental to the root system of ornamental plants.
Baldzhuan buckwheat
A curly liana is able to climb to great heights with a strong support. For this reason, it is often used for vertical gardening of gazebos, fences and verandas of the house. Buckwheat can also be used to form living arches.
However, it should be borne in mind that it shows decorativeness only in areas with moderate shade – with an excess of sun, the foliage becomes shallow and often fades.
Pearl barley
Spike-shaped pearl barley has a creeping rhizome that can displace other plants. For this reason, it is not recommended to use it in a flower garden with capricious flowers.
Pearl barley will look perfect in a rock garden among the boulders.
Often mixed cereal beds are combined with meadow flowers. The cut branches of pearl barley can also be used in dried flower compositions to decorate the house outside or inside.
Goldenrod
Goldenrod species differ in the shape and structure of their flowers, but almost all of them are an erect yellow flower. Goldenrod can be used to form hedges or be planted in rock gardens to strengthen the slope with roots.
It looks great in mixed flower beds, combined with cereals, echinacea, asters, geraniums and liatris.
Goldenrod is often used to decorate the space near curbs. It is not difficult to keep the plant within the required limits – you should remove excess flowers before they have time to take root.
Fescue
An unusual blue-tinted cereal shrub is widely used in landscape design. A practical plant that can beautify the garden all year round, maintaining its appearance as the seasons change.
Fescue looks harmonious among stones.
Rock gardens, rockeries, ornamental waterfalls and ponds are the best habitat for a fluffy bush. It can be used as a background plant. Fescue is resilient and adaptive, therefore, with a high probability it will “outlive” seasonal neighbors.
Mullein
The tall yellow mullein flowers are hard to miss, so in multi-level compositions it will stand out advantageously. Salvia, anaphalis, orchis are the best neighbors for mullein, they are used to decorate fences and walls.
It can be safely used in rockeries on infertile soil.
Small groups of mullein can be placed on the lawn. At the same time, it is important to constantly monitor its distribution, pulling out excess shoots by the root.
Goose bow
Early flowering yellow flowers and long leaves of goose onions will come in handy in any rockery. It can be planted both in paths that ring boulders and in narrow crevices between stones.
Usually, goose onions are planted with seeds, which allows you to grow a whole scattering of flowers on the lawn or between the tiles on the path. It fits well into compositions from other early spring flowers.
