The lower brushes give 6-8 egg-shaped fruits weighing about 300 g. They are quite dense, the skin is thin, the flesh is slightly sour. It has good commercial qualities, it is stored up to 45 days.
To obtain giant fruits weighing 400-600 g or more, the plant must be formed into one trunk. Productivity from a bush to 10 kg. Full brushes contain up to 8 large fruits weighing about 200 g, some of them reach 500-600 g. The color of the berries is dark pink. The pulp is sweet and sour, dense, aromatic, with a small number of seed chambers and seeds. Suitable for processing and fresh salads.
Very famous and popular, unpretentious and easy to grow, has excellent taste and pleasant flesh. By type of bush – determinant, rather tall (up to 1,5 m), suitable for greenhouses and open ground. Productivity in the greenhouse up to 12 kg per 1 m2. Fruit color ranges from off-white to maroon. Damaged by phytophthora.
Large-fruited hybrid varieties of tomato
Created for growing in greenhouses, adapted to the conditions of the Ural region, has a powerful vegetative system of indeterminate type, grown in one stem. Needs enhanced nutrition, constant pinching. Resistant to viral infections. The variety is medium late (116-120 days). Productivity from one bush is 5-8 kg. The fruits are round, slightly compressed, without pronounced ribs, weighing up to 300 g or more. The texture is dense, juicy, slightly sour in taste. It has good commercial qualities. How to keep fruits fresh
Large tomatoes are tender and fleshy, you want to keep them fresh as long as possible. It is best to do this in the refrigerator at a temperature of 3°C to 6°C. Without a refrigerator, tomatoes are stored in slatted, well-ventilated boxes. You can wrap them in dark paper.
For processing use a weak solution of potassium permanganate or boric acid. For storage, the fruits are laid only with dry stalks.
