Haysex breed of chickens

Hisex is a breed of chickens that belongs to highly productive crosses of the egg direction. They were bred by Dutch breeders who crossed the White Leghorn breed with the New Hampshire breed. There are white and brown highsex chickens.

The main distinguishing feature of these birds is their small stature. Therefore, even adult hens of two years old can pass for pullets of the age of four to five months. To recognize whether adult chickens or not, you can carefully examine their legs. In adults, mature individuals have yellow legs with large, rough scales.

Highsex chickens with white plumage are distinguished by very high egg production – up to 320 eggs per year. On average, the weight of an egg is 62-65 grams. Some laying hens lay eggs weighing 80 to 90 grams. The live weight of the bird varies from one and a half kilograms to one kilogram of eight hundred grams. The safety of the young is almost 100%. High productivity is maintained during the first 2-3 years. But the meat of three-year-old and older laying hens is not tasty, โ€œrubberโ€. Feathered pets are unpretentious to the conditions of detention. They are calm, energetic, mobile, not aggressive, active and look very graceful. Birds of this breed have a beautiful crest and silky plumage.

Highsex brown chickens reach a weight of two kilograms. Their productivity is about 300-305 eggs per year. Shell color is brown. These feathered pets have a calm nature, they tolerate any conditions of detention, whether it be cellular or outdoor. The sex of chickens of this breed can be determined in the first days of life. In hens, the color of the gun is darker, with a brown tint, and in males it is light yellow.

Sexual maturity in laying hens occurs at four to five months of age.

These birds can easily be confused with leghorn chickens. They are very similar in appearance: a crest on the side, a light carcass, an upright tail.
