Fighting Chickens Hint

Turkey is the birthplace of Hint fighting chickens. These are very strong, rather unusual, lively and “daring” birds that are not afraid to fight with the enemy. These feathered pets are often called Turkish Azils. Many poultry breeders who breed fighting birds believe that Hint are ideal sports chickens. In Europe, they appeared only in the second half of the 19th century.

Like any other fighting chickens, the Hint breed does not have a high egg productivity. For a year, about 50 eggs can be obtained from a laying hen, the weight of which also leaves much to be desired – an average of 40 grams. The shell is mostly cream in color, sometimes brown. Chickens are able to gain weight of two kilograms, roosters reach a live weight of two and a half kilograms. It is very difficult to breed these feathered pets because of their aggressive nature and constant conflicts not only with other breeds, but also among themselves.

Hint fighting chickens are nervous in nature, they are strong and quite hardy. In battle, these birds do not hesitate – they quickly attack, attack, peck their rivals very actively and fiercely and defend themselves no less actively.

Oddly enough, but Hint chickens are very trusting and devoted to their owner, whom they begin to recognize after some time after the purchase. With people, these feathered pets behave calmly, do not peck, without fear, quickly go into their arms. In appearance, the bird is very strong, and by feeling it, one can note what an elastic, fleshy body it has.

Hint chickens should be kept in a warm, well-heated room. feathered pets should be kept separate from other livestock and preferably in cages to avoid fights even among themselves – individuals of the same breed.

This bird has poor, sparse plumage, so you need to watch it especially carefully in winter, when it is especially cold outside. And in the warm season, feathered pets need a walk on the green grass, where they not only spend the accumulated energy, but also find useful food for themselves in the form of insects, plant seeds, berries, green grass, small pebbles.

Despite the low productivity, Hint chickens have a well-developed instinct for incubation and motherhood. Therefore, if the mother hen sat down to hatch chickens, you should not “persuade” her and drive her from the nest.

For feeding this breed, it is necessary to use special food rich in vegetable and animal protein. And do not sound the alarm and be scared if the chickens are growing slowly. This is quite normal for Hint chickens. Poultry farmers, as a rule, release those individuals that have reached the age of eight months to fight. And these birds reach puberty later – in the second year of life.
