Chicken breed Lokhmonogaya Ushanka

Chicken breed Shaggy-legged earflaps is not only a bird with good productive performance, but also a wonderful decoration of the yard. Many poultry farmers breed this breed in their backyard as decorative, distinguished by beautiful, bright, unusual plumage.

The annual egg production of the shaggy-footed earflap chicken breed is about 170 eggs, the weight of which reaches 60 grams. The color of the shell is light brown, as is the color of the plumage of the birds themselves. The live weight of adult laying hens can reach two and a half kilograms, roosters gain weight up to three kilograms.

These feathered pets attract the attention of poultry farmers with their character and behavior. They are calm, sweet, very good-natured, do not conflict with other breeds of chickens in the poultry house and in the courtyard. Even in the use of food, they are not like other individuals. Shaggy-legged hens with earflaps never rush to the feeders and do not fly into food. They peck the food slowly, with dignity.

This breed of chickens is unpretentious. Earflaps chicks are very calm, quiet, reasonable, unlike chickens of other breeds. However, when keeping them with other small feathered pets, negative consequences can be expected, since they are very easy to offend, which is what chickens of other breeds use.

You need to keep the Shaggy-legged earflap in a clean, bright, spacious chicken coop. For these birds, you need to create certain conditions: temperature (11-22 degrees), humidity, ventilation in the room.

The main feature of these chickens is the presence of plumage on the legs, in the form of pants, which makes them unusually beautiful, amazing, a real decoration of any yard. However, this plumage can cause some harm to feathered pets. Poultry farmers need to check their birds more often for the presence of parasites in the plumage: fleas, down-eaters, ticks.

Shaggy-legged earflaps are often referred to as solar because of their plumage. They also have sideburns that make the head somewhat smaller. The bird itself looks slender and fit.
