So, the history of bagel origin goes deep into antiquity, even in the ancient Jewish kingdom, the ancestors of American bagels were already made as a delicacy and treat for children. Then they were consumed with fruit and milk. And without fail they were treated to all relatives after the funeral.

A little later, in medieval Europe, the custom of treating a woman with bagels on the first day after giving birth appeared in Jewish communities. But in Turkey, bagels are called simits and have been prepared since pre-Alexander times. The most common and well-known variant here is the sesame bagel. Here you can buy such rolled bagels from private sellers everywhere, especially in large cities.

But, perhaps, the Slavs came up with the most options for baggloping. It was here that rolls were the first to appear, which became a real phenomenon in ancient Russian culture, a little later, bagels and dryers became extremely popular, without which one cannot even imagine a fun Russian fair, and today bagels are an indispensable attribute of all bread shelves in stores. And it is the American bagel that is the dish that each culinary specialist can prepare in his own way, creating a unique taste and appearance.

How to make an American bagel

Making a bagel is impossible without choux pastry. Cooked and mixed as usual, it should be boiled in water for a certain time (usually a few minutes) in the form of bagels, after which it is taken out, dried a little on a towel and put to bake.
